What this gallery shows
Every field type, both submit targets, one step and five.
Every field type a plinth form can hold, the two submit targets side by side, a form in one step and a form in five — a demonstration of forms as a UI contract: the page previews your answers or opens your own mail program, and nothing is sent from the site.
Nine field types in one form. Preview shows your answers back below the fields; Edit returns to them with the values kept.
The same nine fields with the other target: the button opens your own mail program with the answers as the body, addressed to the gallery's contact — whose address is never in the page, only its two halves.
One form in five steps: with scripts one step shows at a time and Next checks it before moving on; without scripts every step is on the page.
Turn scripts off and reload: every field and every step stays readable and fillable, the buttons stay disabled, and the note beside each form says what would have happened. Nothing on this page sends anything, with scripts or without.
Every field type, both submit targets, one step and five.
What a visitor without scripts sees, and why nothing happens.
A demonstration: the gallery is invented and its address goes nowhere. Built by plinth from EDN: the forms are compositions, the controls' rules are written from the fields' declarations, the preview and the email are the page's own work, and nothing is sent from the site.
